Google Ads management · US and UK small businesses
Google Ads that are set up to be measured, not just to spend.
I’m Harshal Yadav. I run Google Ads accounts for founders who want one person accountable for the whole thing: the structure, the bidding, the tracking and the monthly call where the numbers get explained in plain English.
The audit is a written review of your existing account or your plan for a new one. No call required, no obligation after it.
Who this is for
A good fit is specific.
Google Ads works when the economics work. Before I take an account on, I check that the product can carry the cost of a click and that there’s enough conversion volume for the bidding to learn. If either fails, I’ll say so in the audit and suggest what to do instead.
Take it on when
- You sell a service or product with a clear margin, so a target cost per lead can be set against real numbers.
- People already search for what you sell. Search demand exists; the question is capturing it efficiently.
- You can spend a minimum of about $1,500 a month on media, because below that the algorithms don’t get enough data to optimise.
- You want one person who does the work, not an account manager relaying it to someone else.
Not the right tool when
- Nobody searches for the category yet. That’s a Meta or content problem, and I’ll tell you that.
- The site can’t convert. Ads amplify a landing page; they don’t rescue one.
- You need results in the first two weeks. The first month is setup and learning, and I don’t promise otherwise.
- The product is in a category Google restricts or bans, where the account will keep getting suspended.
What I check first
Most accounts are losing money to setup, not to bidding.
This is the review I run on every account in the first week, whether it’s new or inherited. The order matters. Campaign type comes before bid strategy, and bid strategy comes before anything about keywords, because a fix higher up changes everything below it.
What’s included
The whole account, every month.
There’s no junior on this. The person who audits the account is the person who builds it, runs it and reports on it.
SETUP · MONTH 1
Structure and tracking
Campaign and ad group structure built from your search demand, conversion tracking set up or rebuilt in GA4 and Google Ads, and the target CPA worked out from your margin before a single dollar is spent.
SETUP · MONTH 1
Keywords, negatives and ads
Match types chosen for the budget, a negative list that starts on day one rather than after the money is gone, and responsive search ads written to the search intent, not to the brand’s tagline.
SETUP · MONTH 1
Landing page review
A written list of what needs to change on the page the ads point to. If you have a developer, they get it; if not, I make the copy changes myself where the platform allows.
ONGOING · WEEKLY
Search term and bid management
Every week the search terms report gets read and acted on. Bids, budgets and audiences move on data, and nothing is changed just because the platform’s recommendation tab said so.
ONGOING · WEEKLY
Testing
One live test at a time: ad copy, landing page, bid strategy or audience. Each one runs long enough to mean something and is written up in the monthly report.
ONGOING · MONTHLY
Reporting and a call
A one-page report in plain language: what was spent, what it bought, what changed and why, and what’s next. A 30-minute call to go through it. No 40-page PDF.
How it starts
Audit first. Always.
Nobody gets a proposal from me without an audit, because I don’t know what to propose until I’ve seen the account. The audit is free and it’s written, so you can act on it with or without me.
Day 0
You send access
Read-only access to the Google Ads account and GA4, or a short description of the business if there’s no account yet.
Within 3 days
Written audit
The seven checks above, run on your account, with findings and what each one is costing. Sent as a document, no call needed.
If it fits
Scope and quote
A one-page scope: what gets built, what gets fixed, the media budget it needs and my monthly fee in USD.
Month 1 onward
Build, run, report
Setup in the first two weeks, learning in the next two, and the first monthly report at the end of month one with the test plan for month two.
Recent work
One account, in detail.
[Client name or industry], [country]. Inherited an account running Performance Max only, with target CPA switched on against fewer than ten conversions a month and a conversion action that counted contact page visits.
Rebuilt as a Search campaign with exact and phrase match, moved the conversion action to form submissions verified in GA4, set a maximise-conversions bid with a cap for the first six weeks, and added [n] negatives from the first search terms pass.
Switched to target CPA in week seven once volume allowed. The figures on the right are [period] against the [period] before the rebuild, same media budget.
Pricing
Quoted after the audit, in USD, as a flat monthly fee.
I don’t charge a percentage of ad spend, because that rewards me for spending your money rather than for making it work. The fee is flat, set by the size of the account and how much building it needs, and it’s in the scope document before you commit to anything.
Media budget is paid by you directly to Google. I never hold client ad spend.
As a performance marketing consultant, I’ll also tell you in the audit if Google Ads isn’t the channel for you. That’s the point of doing the audit before the quote.
Questions
Asked before most audits.
Do you work with businesses outside the US and UK?
Yes, but those two are where most of my accounts are and where the search data I work from is deepest. If you’re elsewhere, say so in the form and I’ll tell you honestly whether I know your market well enough.
Do you need access to my account for the audit?
Read-only access gives a much better audit, and you can revoke it the moment it’s done. If you’d rather not, send screenshots of the campaigns tab, the search terms report and the conversions page and I’ll work from those.
Who owns the account?
You do, always. It sits in your Google Ads account under your billing, I work in it as a manager, and if we stop working together you remove my access and everything stays.
Is there a minimum contract?
Three months, because the first month is setup and learning and judging the work on that month alone would be judging it too early. After that it’s month to month.
Can you also run Meta or Microsoft Ads?
Yes. Microsoft Ads is usually worth adding once the Google structure is proven, since it imports cleanly. Meta is a different job with different economics, and I’ll scope it separately if it makes sense for you.
Free account audit
Send the account. Get the seven checks back in writing.
Within three working days you’ll have a document showing what’s set up right, what’s costing you, and what I’d change first. It’s yours to use with or without me.
Prefer WhatsApp? Message me directly and I’ll reply the same day.
