SEO services · US and UK small businesses

SEO services that start with what your site is filed under, not with a keyword list.

I’m Harshal Yadav. I do SEO for founders who want one person to own the whole thing: the one category term the site ranks for, the pages underneath it, the technical basics, and a monthly report that says what moved and why in plain English.

The audit is a written review of your site’s current search position and what’s holding it back. No call required, no obligation after it.

Who this is for

SEO pays back slowly, so the fit has to be right.

Organic search is a twelve to eighteen month build for a site with no authority yet. I’ll only take it on when the business can wait that long and the category has people searching for it. If it doesn’t, the audit will say so and point at the channel that fits.

Take it on when

  • People search for what you sell, and you can name the category in one or two words.
  • You have a site you own and can change, or are willing to move to one. I can’t do SEO on a Wix template with locked headings.
  • You can hold the budget for at least six months before judging it. Month three is the earliest anything readable appears.
  • Somebody on your side can answer questions about the product, because pages built on guesswork don’t rank.

Not the right tool when

  • You need leads this quarter. That’s Google Ads, and I’ll say so.
  • The category doesn’t exist in search yet. Nobody types the name of a product they haven’t heard of.
  • You want to rank a single page for a single head term and nothing else. That’s not how a site gets filed.
  • You’ve been promised page one in 30 days elsewhere and want the same here. I don’t sell that, because it isn’t sold honestly by anyone.

What I check first

Most sites aren’t unranked. They’re unfiled.

Search engines file a site under one category term, then rank its pages against that. Most small-business sites never tell Google what the category is, so every page competes with every other page and none of them wins. That’s why the review runs in this order.

#CheckWhy it comes firstTypical finding
01What is the site filed under? One category term, on the homepage title and nowhere else. If the title says “Home” or a slogan, the site has no category, and nothing below this line can be fixed until it does.Usually a fix
02Which pages compete with each other? Two pages targeting the same intent means Google picks one and weakens both. Service pages, the about page and old blog posts are the usual offenders.Usually a fix
03Is it indexed at all?Search Console’s page report, not a guess. Pages blocked by a stray noindex, a broken sitemap or a redirect chain rank for nothing regardless of how good they are.Usually a fix
04Does each page match one intent?A page that tries to inform and sell at once does neither. Blog posts answer a question; service pages take a buyer’s term; the two are written for different readers.Usually a fix
05What is already working, and why?Search Console, last 16 months, brand queries filtered out. Usually two or three pages carry most of the non-brand clicks. Understanding why they work is worth more than any keyword tool.Depends
06Do the pages link up?Every post should link to the service it supports and to the homepage using the category term. Orphan posts and a homepage with no inbound internal links are the norm on small sites.Usually a fix
07Are the technical basics passing?Core Web Vitals on mobile, HTTPS, one canonical host, a clean sitemap. These rarely win rankings but they lose them, and they’re checked last because they’re the cheapest to fix.Depends

What’s included

Structure first, then pages, then links.

The same person audits, plans, writes and reports. Nothing is outsourced to a content mill and nothing is generated without being read.

SETUP · MONTH 1

The category decision

One term the whole site files under, chosen from what you sell, what competitors hold and search data, with the reasoning written down so it’s never re-argued.

SETUP · MONTH 1

Site structure

Homepage, service pages, one term each; a fix list for pages that compete; redirects for anything that should never have existed; the internal linking pattern every new page follows.

SETUP · MONTH 1

Technical fixes

Indexing, sitemap, canonical, Core Web Vitals on mobile. Done by me on WordPress, or as a written list for your developer on anything else.

ONGOING · MONTHLY

Pages, written to a map

A queue of pages built from the questions your buyers type, each with one keyword, one intent, and the links it needs. Written in your voice, reviewed by you before publishing.

ONGOING · MONTHLY

Links, earned not bought

Guest pieces, directories that matter in your category, and assets other sites want to cite. No paid link packages; they’re the fastest route to a penalty.

ONGOING · MONTHLY

Reporting and a call

One page: non-brand clicks against the baseline, which pages moved, what was published, what’s next. Brand searches are reported separately so they never inflate the picture.

How it starts

Audit first. Always.

The audit is written, it’s free, and it tells you what the site is filed under today and what’s stopping it ranking. You can act on it with or without me.

Day 0

You send access

Read-only access to Search Console and GA4, plus the site URL. If there’s no Search Console yet, I’ll walk you through setting it up in ten minutes.

Within 3 days

Written audit

The seven checks above, run on your site, with what each is costing you in clicks and what I’d change first.

If it fits

Scope and quote

A one-page scope: the category term, the structure changes, the first ten pages, and the monthly fee in USD.

Month 1 onward

Fix, build, report

Structure and technical fixes in the first month, the page queue from month two, and the first report against a frozen baseline at the end of month one.

Recent work

One site, in detail.

GIMBL, a billing decision tool for independent optometry practices, US. A new site in a category nobody was searching for by name. The buyers were searching for the specific billing failures the product prevents.

Filed the site under one category term, built the first pages around those failure searches rather than the product’s own vocabulary, and paired the site work with LinkedIn and Reddit so the pages had somewhere to be found before search caught up.

The figures on the right are [period], from Search Console with brand queries removed, against a baseline frozen before the work started.

Pricing

Quoted after the audit, in USD, as a flat monthly fee.

The fee is set by how much structure needs fixing and how many pages a month the plan needs. It’s in the scope document before you commit to anything, and it doesn’t change when rankings move.

No paid links, no “guaranteed rankings”, no rank-tracking dashboards that report positions instead of clicks. Reports show non-brand clicks against the baseline, because that’s the number that becomes revenue.

As a performance marketing consultant, I’ll also tell you in the audit if organic search is the wrong channel for your timeline. That’s the point of the audit coming before the quote.

Questions

Asked before most audits.

How long before I see results?

Structure fixes show in Search Console within four to eight weeks as impressions. Clicks that matter usually start between month three and month six, and the twelve-month mark is when a site with no prior authority has a real position. Anyone quoting faster is either working on a site that already had authority or isn’t counting honestly.

Do you write the pages or do I?

I write them, from interviews with you and from what’s already working in your category. You review every page before it publishes, because it carries your name and it has to be true.

What about AI search and AI Overviews?

The same structure that gets a site filed correctly in Google is what gets it cited in AI answers: one clear category, pages that answer one question each, and a named author. I report AI referrals separately once they appear, and I don’t sell “AI SEO” as a separate product, because it isn’t one.

Can you work on my existing blog posts?

Usually that’s the first month’s biggest win. Posts that already exist and already have some age can be re-pointed at the right intent, linked to the right service, and de-duplicated. That’s cheaper than writing new ones and it moves faster.

Is there a minimum contract?

Six months, because anything shorter can’t be judged. After that it’s month to month, and the structure work stays with you if you stop.
